When reporting an issue, include your macOS version, Codec Workbench version, input container type, codec, and the smallest sample file or reproduction steps you can share.

Useful Details To Include

  • Codec Workbench version from the About window.
  • macOS version and Mac hardware model.
  • Whether the file is MPEG-TS, MP4, MKV, AVC Annex B, or HEVC Annex B.
  • Codec, resolution, frame rate, and whether the stream is progressive or interlaced.
  • The exact action that caused the issue.

Local Cache

Codec Workbench stores local analysis caches in its sandbox container. Use File > Clear Entire Cache if you need to remove generated analysis data and thumbnails.
